Last spring I was fortunate enough to attend the inaugural
Strada Fango 100k gravel grinder up Bloomer way. Derek and I showed up
on a tandem
and our ability to finish the grueling course was immediately called
into question. We finished, we suffered, we had fun. It was an amazing
gravel/sand sufferfest and I can't wait to do it again this year.
Apparently the fine folks at Ellis were also party to the event and
built a very cool monstercross bike with the Strada's namesake.
The fork on this thing is one of the best looking front ends I've seen in a long time. Absolutely love it and the fact that it was inspired by a local event and is being shown at NAHBS warms my heart a bit. Check out more info at
Ellis Cycles.
