Every year an elite group of amateur chefs get together to celebrate the day that cowboy and native americans led by Abraham Lincoln sailed on the Mayflower to the exotic coast of India in search of curries and beverages with more flavor then the bland fish/corn/squash gruel they were accustomed to. The celebration is called thankscurry and it's one of my favorite yearly traditions.
