Something I was telling Dan about.
Also, a kind of cool blog. No real in depth content, just lots of pictures.

I don't mean to sounds all nostalgic, but remember 2 years ago when Critical mass was going on and we were all really new to riding and no one had gotten as jaded about riding to fast or to slow or breaking this law or that one or getting pulled over by the cops? I'm sure this comes off as me being self absorbed and whiny, but I kind of miss that.
I thought it was a really cool idea, so I ripped it off. Please print and use accordingly. You may have to resize them, but it should print 8 1/2x11'
Not that I can really bitch because I am super happy with most everything right now(except being busy all the damn time) and think the bike scene has really come together, I just kind of miss its infancy, and someitmes I worry that it has become somewhat devisive and alienating to certain people/groups. The point of all this is that Dan is pushing to bring critical mass back in a big way and I am 100% behind it. I know that there has always been a lot of controversy about Critical mass even within the EC cycling community, but I think it is extremely valuable for cycling visibility, and more importantly just having fun and meeting new people. It's been so long I think it is easy to forget the rides of a couple dozen people smiling and waving and riding around. hopefully we can change that.
So...

I haven't updated in a while. You know the drill busy busy. I haven't gotten to do any real riding other than commuting in a long time. Missed TNR last night and don't know what went down because SOMEONE hasn't been updating the TNR blog...
Other news V1 has pictures up from the ice race.
Well, actually I guess thats it. Everyone has been pretty swamped with other stuff I guess. In any case, looking forward to doing some riding/having some fun this weekend.

Roots
Saw this on the internet, pretty crazy. What is it you ask? Exactly what it looks like, a bike drafting a train attempting to go a mile in a minute. Read more here!

Also, considering polo seems to be picking up here is a pretty good website related to the topic.
Stolen!
Someone stole Magyars Sekine the other night. It was jacked from Taco Johns on Water. If you see anyone riding it use your own discretion in the course of action, but suffince it to say this shit is not cool and should not be tolerated. The bike looks like this only with flat bars instead of bullhorns.

I want to rock and roll
Jake and I were talking about decent looking bike shoes the other day and today I think I stumbled upon the solution. DIY sneaker bike shoes
Lastly here is music I can't get over recently.
The Sonics
Silver Jews
Uncle Tupelo
The Mr. T Experience
It's snowing outside, go ride your bike.
Lord knows I have enough haggard shoes to try this on, now I just need to score some old bike shoes from work. I'm kind of excited to give this a try.
I also stole this video from prolly because from every trailer I've seen it looks like a bike movie that would actually be worth watching.
